Thundervalle 2009 er avlyst Styret og ildsjeler i JDRK har i det lengste forsøkt å få til en ordning for å avholde Thunder Valle 2009. Dette gikk desverre ikke i orden.Styret beklager sterkt det inntrufne, men håper vi får en ny anledning i 2010. Vi stiller da med enda mer vilje til å få dette til, samtidig som at vi er godt uthvilt. Styret i Jæren Drag Race Klubb

The history of Jaeren Dragrace Club.The club was founded in 1997 by a few enthusiasts. The main tasks was to work for a local dragstrip as well as to arrange local Street Legal events. The club arranged the first Street Legal event fall of 1998, and are still arranging these events locally as well as inviting the Street Legal class to its dragrace events in Valle. The local dragstrip project has not been so successful, but hopefully one day we will succed. In the fall of 1998 plans took form to arrange dragrace events at the airfield in Valle. The first event was held in june 1999, the second in june 2000 (Norwegian Champinonship-round), and the third will be in september 2000. The arena in Valle is situated between tall mountains and the echo in the valley gave the events the name Thunder Valle. The sound is great and we even have rocks coming off the mountains during the races. For next year (2001) the club is planning two events in Valle in addition to local Street Legal events. The club is growing bigger day by day and the few enthusiasts will soon be a full team of racers and officials. |
